Mun2 Beats Galavision for 4th Consecutive Week in Ratings

Universal City, CA– mun2, the bicultural cable network, was the #1 U.S. Latino cable network for the fourth consecutive week among YLA (Young Latino Americans, 18-34) for Monday-Sunday, 8 p.m.-11 p.m. prime time, according to Nielsen. During the week of 4/9/12-4/15/12, mun2 delivered 42,000 YLAs, out-delivering Galavision by +20% Monday – Sunday 8 p.m.-11 p.m. The cable network experienced continued success with the hit telenovela La Reina del Sur, delivering 164,000 total viewers,105,000 adults 18-49 and 71,000 YLAs average for the week, having peeked on Wednesday April 11 with 241,000 total viewers (up + 48% vs. prior week), 171,000 adults 18-49 (up +80% vs prior week), 137,000 YLAs (up +104% vs. prior week).

Season to date, mun2 has increased its prime time delivery with 89,000 total viewers (up +13%), 52,000 adults 18-49 (up +11%) and 34,000 YLAs (up +10%), all versus prior season. mun2 continues to be on track to have its largest season ever in the history of the network.

I Love Jenni

The #1 Latino celebrity reality show has delivered 72,000 total viewers (up +47% vs. prior month), 45,000 adults 18-49 (up +73% vs. prior month) and 31,000 YLAs (up +63% vs. prior month) during its Saturday afternoon period (2 p.m) April to date.

Reventon con Yarel

Reventon (Sunday, 12 p.m.), the leading Regional Mexican music and lifestyle program hosted by Yarel Ramos, saw growth during April 2012 with deliveries of 68,000 total viewers (up +58% vs. prior month), 37,000 adults 18-49 (up +39% vs. prior month), and 25,000 YLAs (up +32% vs. prior month).
