Youngest National News Anchor in TV Broadcasting!

Adriana Ruggiero

By Elia Esparza

Stepping into the nightly national news anchor position is Adriana Ruggiero, who has co-anchored the local L.A. news on EstrellaTV’s KRCA-62 since 2013. The newly rebranded “Noticiero EstrellaTV Con Adriana Ruggiero,” airs Mondays through Fridays, 5:30PM (EST/PST) and 4:30PM (CST) on the EstrellaTV network.

At 32 years of age, Ruggiero, according to Contacto Magazine, is the youngest national news anchor on television in the nation. She has been on the fast track since EstrellaTV first hired her two years ago. She hit the pavement running as a local news reporter and three months later, she is promoted to co-anchor on the weekday local evening 5PM and 11PM news. Today, the highly educated Ruggiero, is in the coveted national network spotlight.

“When it comes to reporting the news, transparency and honesty means everything,” said Ruggiero. “Our viewers deserve respect and comfort in knowing that I care about the issues that impact their lives. I refuse to just sit and read a teleprompter, that’s why this career is not an 8-hour a day job. It requires 24-hours dedication and I am proud to be the voice serving the Hispanic community, who watch and depend on us for the latest news reporting.”

Before EstrellaTV, Adriana worked in her native Venezuela as anchor to “El Noticiero Estelar,” where she covered the local news Televisora de Oriente (TVO). Immediately after receiving her law degree from Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, she would go on to host the radio show “Conexion Legal” for two years, where she became a popular legal commentary. In addition, she also received a Masters in Marketing and Communications from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Adriana would go on to publish Venezuela’s first legal magazine, “Guia Legal,” a venture that opened up many of her early on-air broadcasting opportunities.

Adriana Ruggiero looks forward to delivering compelling in-depth and news breaking reports and conducting interviews with major newsmakers. Like she did in the local anchor chair, Adriana has never backed away from an important story with the power to improve humanity by giving the people a voice through her news coverage.

“Noticiero EstrellaTV Con Adriana Ruggiero” broadcasts weeknights to the Latino community in the U.S. and through the journalistic leadership of Ruggiero, will report with accuracy the latest news impacting our nation and with latest global news covering Mexico, Central and South America, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Spain.
