Bilingual Administrative Assistant


New Wave Entertainment, one of the entertainment industry’s largest marketing and creative services agencies, is looking for a temporary administrative assistant with an interest in the motion picture industry, particularly marketing to Hispanic audiences.

– Five days a week, Monday-Friday 11am-7pm, hourly position; temporary but with a possibility of long-term employment 
– Will provide support with day to day administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, ordering office supplies, submitting invoices and employee timesheets, starting and updating projects on the internal project management server, booking narrators, making runner requests, greeting clients and guests 
– Additional tasks may include screening features, translating/transcribing spots, writing copy and internet research 
– Must be bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish preferably with good writing skills to help with El Estudio, NWE’s Hispanic marketing division 
– Excellent organizational and planning skills 
– Multitasking skills 
– Attention to details, flexibility, tact and diplomacy 
– Professional phone etiquette 
– Able to maintain grace under pressure 
– Self-motivated and ability to work independently and in a team environment 
– Able to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as clients and vendors 
– Maintain high level of confidentiality 
– Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred 
– Most importantly a willingness to learn and familiarity with the Hispanic market is a definite plus

Producer at StoryCorp (NYC)

Seeking Producer who will report to the Senior Producer to produce national broadcasts on NPR for StoryCorps’ special initiatives, as well as audio for internal and promotional use at StoryCorps. The Producer will function as an active and engaged member of StoryCorps’ Production Department, who produce our weekly NPR broadcasts, our weekly podcast, and other audio content. The Producer is also responsible for editing staff and interns.

StoryCorps tells stories from an inclusive range of American voices — from our Griot Initiative to preserve stories of African Americans, to our Historias Initiative to collect the life experiences of Latinos. Candidates with work experience in and knowledge of diverse communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience producing content representative of diverse voices, for diverse audiences, is strongly preferred. Additionally, because StoryCorps may be asked to produce content in Spanish for radio or outreach partners, fee-for-service clients, or other organizational purposes, Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred for this position.
