Singer Jenni Rivera’s Remains Are Found At Plane Crash Site

Jenni Rivera Remains Found Shattering Family Hopes She’d be Found Alive

Jenni Rivera’s family lost all hope that she could still be alive December 11th when they were informed that her remains had been found at the crash site.

On Dec. 9th, after a sold-out concert at the Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico, Rivera boarded a plane for what was to be a trip of one hour and half as they headed south to Toluca. Shortly after take off, controllers lost communications with the plane in what turned out to be a crash in the mountains of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. All seven people on board may have perished.

The much-loved Rivera was identified by her driver’s license, which later was reported had been found with her body. On a Telemundo news program, a local farmer who lives near the crash site was interviewed and he stated that he saw body parts and did see Ms. Rivera’s hair but not much else. According to the latest reports, the singer’s Learjet 25 was at 28,000 feet, when for unknown reasons took a nosedive   traveling at approximately 620 miles per hour. The impact so powerful, family DNA is required to identify the body parts found.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has dispatched investigators to assist the Mexican government in its investigation of the crash.

Jenni’s other brother Lupillo Rivero travelled to Mexico to bring home her remains so that she can be buried in Culver City, at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (as stated by Don Pedro Rivero, Jenni’s father).

Lupillo tweeted this morning: Ama..voy a llevarle a su hija a casa, Le llevare su mama a mis sobrinos A nuestra hermana. fans a una gran señora!!!!!!!!!!……………. (Mom, I’m going to bring your daughter home; I will bring their mom back to my nieces and nephews, our sister. And fans a great lady!!!!)

Rosa Rivera, the Rivera matriarch said she wants her daughter’s services to be open to Jenni’s fans and community but conceded that her children are handling the services.
