Mexico City, MX -- Jon Seda (Selena, Bad Boys II) has been signed by producer /director David Siqueiros to star in the theatrical motion picture comedy One Long Night from an original screenplay by Siqueiros. Seda stars as Richard Macedo, a young Mexican-American businessman from Orange County whose life is changed over the course of one night through a series of off beat and hilarious encounters with the denizens of Mexico City.
One Long Night commences principal photography on location in Mexico City on Monday April 3, 2006 for six weeks with an additional two weeks in New port Beach, California..
Seda heads a cast that includes comedian Paul Rodriguez (Latin Kings of Comedy, Bloodworks), Mexican singer/ actress Itati Cantoral, Oscar nominated actress Karen Black (Five Easy Pieces, Day of The Locusts), Gustavo Sanchez Parra (Amores Perros), Ed Begley Jr. ( Batman Forever, Renaissance Man ), Alison Eastwood (Poolhall Junkies, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil) Mexican film icon Pedro Armendariz (Legend Of Zorro, Old Gringo), Norteno music singing super star Lupillo Rivera and Hector Suarez Gomis.
Seda is one of film and televisions’ most recognizable and established young actors. His film credits include Price of Glory, opposite Jimmy Smits, 12 Monkeys with Bruce Willis and Carlito’s Way with Al Pacino. He is recognized for his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in the movie Selena where he played the slain Tejano singer’s husband, Chris Perez. On Television he starred as Detective Paul Falsone on the acclaimed series Homicide-Life on the Streets.
