MIAMI, FL - February 5, 2016 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Hispanicize has announced its open call for nominations for the 2016 Positive Impact Awards sponsored by Prudential Financial.

Nominations for the awards, which will honor four every-day people who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in their communities, are being accepted online through February 29, 2016 through the program’s website (http://hispzpia.com).

The gala takes place during the annual Hispanicize Event (www.HispanicizeEvent.com), the nation’s premier Latino trends event for bloggers, marketers, journalists, musicians, filmmakers and tech leaders, hosted in Miami at the InterContinental Miami Hotel from April 4-8, 2016.

The honored individuals will be selected from nomination submissions, voted on by a panel of leaders from various industries, including Hispanicize 2016 advisory board members. Audiences will later have the chance to vote online for one honoree to be recognized as Positive Impact Person of the Year at the awards gala on April 5, 2016 in Miami.

“Never before has there been a bigger need to proudly and boldly recognize the positive, community-shaping contributions of Latinos in the United States,” said Manny Ruiz, founder and creative director of Hispanicize 2016. “Prudential’s proven commitment to the empowerment and betterment of communities across the country makes them a great partner and champion for this program. We are very proud of this partnership.”

Over the past two years, the Positive Impact Awards have honored 25 Latinos from all corners of the United States who have dedicated their lives, time and money to ensuring that their communities have access to the resources and support they need to succeed.

“At the center of Prudential’s mission is the idea that everyone should have the opportunity to grow and achieve upward mobility through resources and tools that will help them succeed. The Positive Impact Awards are an excellent platform to honor those who share our vision of strengthening communities through collaboration and innovation,“ said Mammen Verghis, vice president, Multicultural Marketing at Prudential Financial, Inc.
