LOS ANGELES, CA - August 18, 2015 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - LatinHeat Media Institute and the American Cinematheque are pleased to present LatinoMediaVisions, a series of events which focus on showcasing Latino content, offer an entrepreneur media-maker development program for the independent content producer and recurring opportunities for community networking.

Created by the LatinHeat Media Institute (LHMI), in association with the American Cinematheque and with the assistance of the consulting firm of Alex Mendoza & Associates (AMA) and Impresario Global Media Group (IGMG), LatinoMediaVisions will present diverse features, documentaries, shorts, TV/Web programs, and other moving-visual art from the U.S., Latin America and Spain. The mission of LatinoMediaVisions is to advance, promote, instill entrepreneurial growth and inspire Latino content creators across media, while creating a forum for discussion between filmmakers, the industry and the audience. LatinoMediaVisions will launch on September 17, 2015 at the American Cinematheque’s historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and it will look to expand its geographical reach as the program grows.

Programming, consisting of Latino themed and/or produced film/TV and online content, will be drawn, by invitation, from submissions, film festivals and other showcases. It will include premieres as well the content that LatinoMediaVisions feels needs further exposure and be presented beyond the film festival circuit.

LatinoMediaVisions launches with the premiere of the indie film Strike One, Directed by David Llauger Meiselman and stars Danny Trejo (Machete), Johnny Ortiz (American Crime), Alma Martinez (The Bridge), Billy Gallo (Crash), and French Steward (ABC’s The Middle) and a special screening of the multi-awarded short film Contrapelo, starring Art Bonilla (Salvador) and Eduardo Roman (21 Days).

LatinoMediaVisions welcomes organizational, governmental and corporate support for its programs. It will also seek and offer collaboration with other festivals and organizations involved in Latino entertainment with the intent to expand opportunities for all.

Established in 1981, the American Cinematheque is a 501 C 3 non-profit viewer-supported film exhibition and cultural organization dedicated to the celebration of the Moving Picture in all of its forms. At the Egyptian Theatre, the Cinematheque presents daily film and video programming which ranges from the classics of American and international cinema, to new independent films and digital work.
