WASHINGTON D.C. – April 28, 2017 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Mister G, a Latin GRAMMY Award-Winning children's singer/songwriter who was called a "kid-friendly bilingual rock star" by the Washington Post, will be debuting songs from his upcoming bilingual, environmental-themed album, Mundo Verde/Green World, at the Peoples Climate March on Saturday, April 29th.

Mundo Verde/Green World, the follow-up to Mister G’s Latin GRAMMY Award-winning album, Los Animales, is a collection of inspirational, bilingual songs intended to unite people of all ages and ethnicities in support of conservation and action. The album features collaborations with major figures in the Latin music scene, including the Santo Domingo-based merengue superstars 440, performing an eclectic range of styles, from bomba and guajira, to reggae and bossa nova.

The songs approach green themes from various angles that are accessible and relevant to children and adults. The title track, “Mundo Verde,” is a samba-inspired song appreciating the wonders of the natural world; “Agua” celebrates the significance of water to the planet’s ecosystems; “Sí Se Puede” is an anthemic rallying cry to protect the environment; “El Coqui” is a salsa tune written from the perspective of the beloved native frog of Puerto Rico who sings about the beautiful rainforest of his country. While Mundo Verde/Green World had initially been conceived as a joyful celebration of the natural world, the album now has an expanded mission and sense of urgency due to our new political reality.

One of the leading figures in the world of children's music, Mister G tours extensively both nationally and internationally and will be flying to Washington, DC directly from a concert in Dallas, TX to perform in this historic Peoples Climate March. In the DC area, he has headlined concerts at Wolf Trap, Strathmore, the National Zoo and the National Theatre.

Recognized as "one of the best live acts for kids and families," Mister G's charismatic, interactive concerts are equally compelling for children and adults. He’ll be performing at the Peoples Climate March with dancer and vocalist, Missus G, and Colombian percussionist/vocalist, Verny Varela.
