MIAMI, FL - December 15, 2016 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Hispanicize Media Group CEO Manny Ruiz, founder of the holding company that owns the annual Hispanicize event, DiMe Media and Hispanic Kitchen, has been named one of the “Top Hispanic Entrepreneurs of 2016’ by the business magazines Negocios and Ejecutiva Magazine.”

A 25-year Hispanic media and marketing veteran, Ruiz was recognized this week for his entrepreneurship as the pioneer of the U.S. Latino social media space and for representing Latinos with excellence in business through the 8th annual, Miami-based Hispanicize event that today is the largest and most important gathering of influencers in U.S. Hispanic media, social media, marketing and entertainment.

“I am a reluctant entrepreneur so winning this honor is both ironic because I grew up focused on being a journalist and special because now I truly love business,” said Ruiz. “I’m very honored that Negocios and Ejecutiva Magazine selected me to be part of this distinguished class of winners and I hope to continue representing our community positively.”

This is the sixth year of the awards. Additional 2016 winners include:

Yamal Yidios, (CEO of Ytech International, Miami), Laura Kozelouzek (Founder & CEO of Quest Workspaces, Miami); Joaquín Dueñas Carrillo (International Marketing Expert); Damián Valenzuela-Mayer (President of Latin America Invest); Francisco Levine (CEO of Atton Hotel Group); Andrés Oppenheimer (Editor of El Nuevo Herald and columnist for El Informe Oppenheimer); Albert Collazo (Ford Motor Company in South Florida) and Katherine Fernandez Rundle (Miami-Dade Attorney General).
