Jobs and Careers Fair for Latinos in Marketing and Communications Take Center Stage at Hispanicize 2018

— Over a dozen agencies, brands and media companies already lined up to recruit professionals and students from the fields of marketing, advertising, PR, social media, and journalism —

MIAMI, FL - March 20, 2018 - (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - To the scores of brands, advertising, PR, media and digital agencies who routinely complain they can’t find qualified Latinas and Latinos in the marketing and communications fields, your wait is over.

In what is a historic first, organizers of Hispanicize 2018 - the nation’s largest gathering of Hispanic communicators - today announced they are partnering with Publicis Groupe and HP to host the inaugural Hispanicize Marketing and Communications Jobs and Career Fair. The national job/career fair will take place between 1 and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18 and will be open to both professionals and university seniors from schools nationwide who have registered to attend the event. Hispanicize 2018 (www.HispanicizeEvent.com) will be headquartered in downtown Miami’s JW Marriott Marquis, April 17-19.

Among the growing list of agency and brand partners that will be actively recruiting, are: Leo Burnett; Saatchi & Saatchi; Starcom Worldwide; SapientRazorfish; DigitasLBi; MSL, Anomaly; Edelman; Havas Formulatin; Prudential Financial; Microsoft; Wells Fargo; National Public Radio; Egami Consulting, and República. The employment opportunities range broadly from media buying and planning to public relations, creative, marketing, and social media. The positions are for openings across the country.

“We expect agencies who are truly committed to diversity to use this platform to find highly qualified Latinas and Latinos,” said Manny Ruiz, founder of Hispanicize Media Group and the Hispanicize event. “We created this platform because we are uniquely suited to do so and because D&I hiring initiatives that do not robustly include Latinos are incomplete at best and a sham at worse.”

In order to build a bigger pipeline for recruiters and tell a larger diversity and inclusion story, Hispanicize 2018 organizers this year expanded the highly touted Hispanicize CMO & Diversity Summit to two days, relaunched a Hispanic PR track in partnership with the Hispanic Public Relations Association, and created an unprecedented program called Hispanicize U.

The Hispanicize U platform, which HP is playing a leading role in making possible, includes partnerships with 11 universities and higher education organizations nationwide whose students will be able to attend the event free. Among those are Cal State Fullerton, Florida International University, the University of Miami. Florida State University, and Miami Dade College,
