Indie Feature In Stereo stars Beau Garrett and Micah Hauptman
In Stereo is the dark indie comedy which marks the feature film debut of writer/director Mel Rodriguez. Directing from his own script, the film which is currently shooting in New York City, is a co-production with Parkside Pictures producers Danny Roth and Damiano Tucci together with Rodriguez’s banner Insomniac Content.
In Stereo follows the lives of David (Micah Hauptman), a photographer on a self-destructive streak and Brenda (Beau Garrett), a once famous TV actress with behavioral issues that have caused her successful TV career to stall. The film follows them over the course of a couple of days, 18 months after breaking up. Since then, their lives have taken some wrong turns until they reunite at David’s photo exhibit and enter into uncharted territory in their newly rekindled relationship.
“It’s a real privilege to get to make a small, personal independent film at all these days, but the way this came together – making this with my producing partner, this excellent cast and in New York City – it’s been really incredible,” said writer/director Rodriguez.
Beau Garrett appeared in Tron: Legacy and is currently starring in Bravo’s first scripted series Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce. Micah Hauptman is coming off the Universal/ Working Title adventure drama Everest starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes and Jason Clarke about the 1996 multi-expedition ascent on Mount Everest that left eight climbers dead.
The cast is rounded out with Mario Cantone of Sex and the City fame.
Beau Garrett is repped by Paradigm, Micah Hauptman is repped by Chaotik Media and Mel Rodriguez is repped by Scenario.
