Opening Night of the festivities will start by premiering Filly Brown, a film about a raw, young, Los Angeles hip-hop artist who faces hard-hitting choices as she gets discovered for rap stardom and is left to choose the fame over her building blocks, including her friends, that did the job of shaping her into the talented rapper she is. With a fusing cast, directed by Youssef Delara and Micheal D. Olmos, and introducing sensational actress Gina Rodriguez (Go For It, Our Family Wedding) as the raw Filly Brown, the film is an anticipated movement to conquer the airwaves.
